A couple of years ago when I started a project, I finished it and then moved to the next. These days unfortunately I am having on average 5 to 10 things on my needles. Probably I just have too many needles :) Some of those projects quite certainly will not be finished. Some will never be worn. Here are some pictures.
1. Cabled vest. I don't really like its bulky yarn and this colour is not mine either.
2. Cotton top in lace for me. Yarn and colour is quite nice. It is actually more denim than in pictures. I am not a lace person (don't know what came into my mind when I started this top) but I don't want to transform it in some wearable dress for my daughter either. Top was once finished but I didn't like edging and bands. Frogged and put in a pile under bed :)
3. Crocheted cotton summer hat. I don't like hats but I hoped this one would become loved. Well, it didn't. I have not worn it even once.
4. Surprise cardigan. I run out of kid mohair yarn so I could not finish one sleeve properly and didn't knit hood. Nevertheless, I sewed in a zipper and was wearing it last winter. Recently I bought another zipper which matched colourway better. Took the old one off and here is the current stage: 2 zippers, none in the cardi, no hood, no yarn. I would love to finish this one.
5. Leg warmers to match with this tunic dress. My dear little girl is refusing to put them on so there is really no point to keep them in drawer. Probably should unravel and knit something else instead.

Bits and pieces
Last week I knitted neckwarmers and fingerless mittens for the whole family. Not that I particularly like knitting small items but we really needed some. It's freezing cold there. So here come some pics of finished items, some are pictured together with previously posted hat.
The only one without warm accessories is me, of course :)

Tunic or dress or top for little girl
I am not sure what's the correct word to name the latest project I knitted. It is a combination of dress, tunic and top. I had a very rough idea of what I am knitting once I started. It is done bottom up in the round, ties knitted separately and sewn on.

Tasty Finnish piirakkaas
I am so glad I won a fight with my laziness and made those piirakkaas. A delicious savoury snack indeed. I remember how well they tasted in Helsinki and mine are almost as good. So one very happy ferby over here today.
Recipe is from this site.

Entrelac skirt
Slowly progressing on entrelac skirt.
Size 4-5 yrs, DK weight yarn. I started with 120 stitches / 15 squares on 2.25mm needles, 8 stitches each in the first entrelac squares row. After 3 rows of squares changed to 3.25mm needles, continuing 8 stitch squares. After another 3 square rows starting the dark blue row I increased squares to 9 stitches, picking up additional stitch in the first backward going row at the end of square (the other side of k2tog line).

Knee length socks #2
I have been trying to buy or knit some socks which 4yo would actually wear. I don't know if it's material, or colour, or just the feeling of something on her feet, but no socks stay on more than 5 minutes. This pair has been worn twice (and once for the whole night!) and there is a hope.
