Summer memories

Once upon a time it was warm, sunny and shiny down there. In contrast to -3 C as of this morning :)

Warm tunic dress

This is the case I have to admit that the white wool yarn had been hanging out in my yarn stash for really long time with no use. Not a bad yarn at all just somehow yarn quantity (I had just one ball), colour and composition never matched any project in my head. Then I bought self striping wool blend to test if I liked it. Literally in one moment there was an idea and the very next day there was a warm tunic dress for little girl.

Socks for myself

Due to the approaching cold season I decided to ensure that my feet is always warm. Knee length cabled and textured socks should be warm enough to wear with skirt in cold months. If only I had suitable shoes.

I used Sanguine Gryphon sock weight yarn to make those. It was nice but not exceptionally soft. Not sure if would use again.

Getting started

I don't quite know how to start. I have occasionally read heaps of craft, cooking and home living related blogs, always wondering how those wonderful people manage to figure out what they gonna write. I still can't figure it out. Partly because I don't feel particularly open in Internet environment therefore I won't share private pictures or write about myself a lot. That leaves out quite many of potential topics. My other concern is that everything is already said in this world. I believe there is really nothing revolutionary new and most likely you can get about all information in the world in several different ways. Unless you know exactly what you are looking for because in that case you definitely won't find it - saying that from personal experience. Anyhow I feel I have something to share.

I love knitting. I do knit a lot and when I don't do that I spend time reading about it, browsing Ravelry or generating new ideas what to knit next. I want to make this blog a place to mark my projects to myself and share those with others. Kinda diary (well, rather infrequent, I am realistic about myself) and gallery of my knitting self. I hope I will enjoy posting there and you will enjoy visiting.
