Set of 2 cardigans

This was particularly enjoyable custom order for two little girls. My girls are about the same age so they tried the cardigans on (being very careful not to damage them in any way!) Kids can wear almost anything and still look cute.

Stripey contiguous jacket

Of course, I had to try this new top-down construction. Top-down or bottom-up raglans so far are the seamless methods I mostly use although those set certain limitations to designs. So I was keen to find another way to knit seamlessly. I really liked contiguous method, in spite of the first not-so-successful jacket I made using this method. I should have done some more serious calculations before starting, especially regarding sleeve increases. As always, urge to start project was stronger than fear to face mistakes afterwards.

Ah, and this project is made with recycled yarn. I frogged my wool blend mittens, hat and scarf set to reuse the yarn. I realized I wouldn't have ever worn those again and colours were just right for my little miss wardrobe.

Traditional run-away shot at the end of pictures ;)

Cinnamon cardigan

I have finished Cinnamon jacket, a test knit for Elena Nodel. I used the yarn I dyed and showed in this post. It was rather quick knit and I had two main distractions to post it here earlier. I couldn't find nice buttons (still hope to come over nicer ones and replace these temporary ones) and I couldn't make little girl to agree to do photos. Modelled shots are running as always.

I feel sorry that yarn was just enough to finish garment and I couldn't make pockets as pattern suggests.

Design is pretty and simple yet very eye catching and with beautiful clear lines. The pattern will be released some time in the next months. Check designer's website for updates :)
